The Perfect x Imperfection

by Kiyoko Yasuda

Happy December everyone!
Recently I got to try out KATE TOKYO's latest Designing Eyebrow Set!

Here's what the packaging looks like.

It includes the oh so popular KATE TOKYO eyebrow palette, brow brush, and brow comb!

On the back it explains the usage of the Eyebrow brush!
I've translated it and explain more about the product below ↓

INFO

2 Way Brow Brush: To define and blend to add definition to your face

The Comb & Brush: Helps to neaten up the brows before and after applying the powder

For the Brow: Mix the [Top] & [Middle] shades and swatch it onto your hand before applying it to your brows
Nose shadow (aka bronzer): Use the [Bottom] shade

Brush comparison:
[Left] circular brush for blending
[Right] the brush included in the brow palette

Brush comparison:
[Left] flat brush for shaping and filling in the brows
[Right] the brush included in the brow palette

SWATCH
So let's try this baby out shall we?
But before that...

Let's do a quick swatch!

[Left] Using the flat brush & top shade
[Right] Using the brush that's included in the palette & top shade

You can see that the flat brush allows you to do a precise yet soft application, while the brush included in the palette is goes on wider and darker.

TEST
Let's test this baby out on my invisible brows!!

Decided to test both brushes out so I'll first start off with the double brush that's included in this special kit.

The palette includes a small mirror so you can carry the kit around anywhere to check your makeup/brows.

The brush picks up the right amount of powder so it doesn't make your brows look super dark.
The bristles are soft so applying and controlling the powder is super easy.

Tadah~! Done with one side!

( ・ิω・ิ) ( ・ิω・)ノิ ิヽ( ・ω・)ノ ิ

Now it's time to use the smaller brush that's included in the brow palette.
The smaller brush is quite easy to use too BUT you need to watch out when you're using the flat side because the amount of powder it picks up is slightly more intense.

Brow game...ON!

Done with the other side! My brow skills aren't that great so for this side it looks a little darker, but no worries! Just use the blending brush or comb to lighten it out!

Now let's finish it off with the brush!

After that you're done!!!

RESULT
Love how soft my brows look and even though it's quite thick, it doesn't look like a caterpillar
(like クレヨンしんちゃん LOL)

So now that my brow's are done, here's what my brows looked like before ↓
Where's my eyebrows? I'm not sure...it's pretty much nonexistent (涙)

But after applying the KATE TOKYO brow palette...
I HAS BROWS NAU~!!!!

( ・ิω・ิ) ( ・ิω・)ノิ ิヽ( ・ω・)ノ ิ

BTW!!!! This set is only available for a limited time!!!
Make sure you get it before December 9!!!

This set only costs SGD$ 20.50 - which is the same price as the usual palette!!!
So you're pretty much getting 2 free brushes!!
(3 if you include the one that's already inside the palette)

Looking for something to get your brows ready for the Christmas holidays? This is definitely a great present to yourself, family or friends who are beginners ~ experts at drawing their brows!

Thank you KATE TOKYO Singapore and Touch PR & Events for letting me try this award-winning, popular eyebrow palette!

Have a great week!!
Gambatte everyone!

xoxo,
2015 is Dr. Benjamin Yim Clinical Aesthetics & Laser Centre's 15th anniversary! When I was invited to their previous 15th anniversary event, I was unfortunately out of the country and I wasn't able to attend (´・ω・`)...
BUT!!!
This time I got to attend the Shape Up To a Beautiful You event that took place at the Hard Rock Cafe!

During the event, there was A LOT of activities for us to enjoy and we also had some yummy finger food to munch on and being the foodie that I am... I was busy eating and forgot to take a photo of the food T_T
Anyways! After everyone settled down, Dr. Yim came up to the front of the stage to explain to us about our skin, the aging process, and how we can alter the affects of time.

There's 4 D's of aging which is Deflation, Deterioration, Descent, and Disproportion.
Dr. Yim explained that botox and fillers can help fight against the 4 D's and guess who's face popped out on the slide show!
Hello my face. LOL It was slightly embarrassing to see my face on a HUGE screen but everyone complimented how different I look now!

2 other treatments Dr. Yim explained was Soft Silhouette and Thermage.

Soft Silhouette is a dual action Thread Lift treatment (FDA approved) that lifts the part of the face to create that V-shape face that EVERYONE wants. The treatment takes about 30 minutes (with local anesthesia) and it's recommended for those who are in their mid-20s ~ 30's.You'll see an immediate lifting effect with the continual gradual stimulation of collagen over time and it can last for 18 months!!!! What's even better is that the Soft Silhouette threads are re-absorbable threads so you won't need any follow ups or any procedures to remove it!

Thermage is a skin tightening device that can also help achieve the desired V Shape face. Thermage reverses the process of the skin breakdown by smoothening the lines and wrinkles and renew collagen production!! Noticeable improvements can be seen 4-6 months into the treatment. Using the newly patented Comfort Pulse Technology and Capacitive Radiofrequency (CRF) technology, Thermage helps shape up a V-shape face by redefining the jawline and under the chin!
There's no downtime and you can see a difference in just 1 treatment!

The lovely Joselyn from GotIdeas! was one of our emcee for the day!

Next was a live demonstration and brand introduction by Jane Iredale Makeup Educator,
Ms Toh Shin Pei!
It was interesting to learn more about the Jane Iredale products and how their makeup products are good for your skin! What surprised us the most was when Shin Pei dropped the powder into the water to show that the powder repels water!! *jaw dropped*

After the demo was the Jane Iredale trivia!
Tracy and I got the questions right and won some Jane Iredale goodies!!

Here's the selfie we took (that the cameraman took of us) LOL

If you're wondering what was in the prize, here it is!!

I was super happy to see the POMMISST Hydrator Spray because during the introduction of all their products, this was one of the products I wanted to try it!! Smells AMAZING too!

Then came Ms Debra Chong, Local designer & Co-Founder of Formasian Label
She came to talk more about her label and image & styling tips!!
All I could say is OH MY GOSH! Preach sista preaaaaach!! She was so passionate and what she said was really informative. I must say, she OWNED the stage.

Then a panel of experts & specialists shared their own views and tips of beauty, image, and makeup tips for 2 special volunteers!!
Dr Yim giving his suggestions on what the two pretty volunteers can do to enhance their beauty!
Jolynn was one of the volunteers!

Now let's get to the goodies!
Then the day ended with a special lucky draw with prizes from other participating brand sponsors & partners! I was lucky to win the Hydrating Cleanser (makeup remover)!!!
The goodie bags were amazing too!!

Since this was after my botox and filler procedure, I was very proactive in taking photos and selfies.
Not to mention my makeup was on fleeeeeek!!
It was great seeing Yvonne again!!!

Group shot with Joselyn and fellow bloggers ♡
Everyone was so pretty and friendly!

With June and Joselyn!

Group shot with everyone!!!

A huge thank you to Dr. Benjamin Yim and GotIdeas for inviting me to the event!
I had a great time celebrating the 15th anniversary and meeting new friends!
