The Perfect x Imperfection

by Kiyoko Yasuda

Have you ever been to the Trick Eye Museum Singapore?

I recently got the chance to go after they revamped the place and added new themed zones and a 4D (yup not 3D) concept!
Couldn't get anyone to join me but when my kareshi told me he's meeting his friend at Vivo... I felt like it was a sign ((´∀`*))ヶラヶラ It was his first time at the Trick Eye Museum and for Kelvin, it was his first time going to experience the revamped version!!

Not gonna reveal the ENTIRE area but here's a few shots from the night!!
I mean...a little bit of mystery will make y'all go to the museum, right? *grin grin*
With Jasmine ♡
She's such a sweetie and this is our 2nd time going to the Trick Eye Museum!!

The boys were very proactive in being the models for the night.
They were very VERY calculative. Like, 'need to put hand slightly higher, place this here, angle of camera here, etc.'. You can see the amount of effort they put into each shot.
Here's one to start ↓
Bayu being a supportive friend (`・~・´)
Poor Kelvin....

I fail miserably at the lying down/pose properly sections but the 4D concepts are great for trick eye noobs (like myself). 4D means that it also includes real objects that you can pose together with!
This one enjoys trolling every single zone we go to ε-(•́ω•̀ )

If you thought that only couples, families, or girlfriends enjoy the Trick Eye Museum... you're wrong! This place is also a great place to come with a group of guys (๑´ã…‚`๑)b
Can you feel the bromance tonight~?

Although they have an example of how you should take a photo, you can always let your creative juice run wild.
Are you thirsty~?

WHY! Why you being so mean! Ù©(๑`^´à¹‘)Û¶
Everyone else was doing the prayer pose or the sad, puppy eyes look but this one...
This one decided to be a meanie. At first he wanted to pretend like he's going to light it up with a lighter or pose next to her with the ドヤ顔( ・´ï½°・`) but since we didn't have a lighter, he decided to do this pose instead.

Bumped into Zong Han too! (ZaTaYa Yummy) He's soooo adorable!!
His recipes on his blog is AMAZING !!! You need to check it out!! I loved the Peppermint White Chocolate Brownie and it was great seeing him again~.

Using your own props is also a fun way to make the photos unique! Who said you can't create your own theme/story behind the photo?
Are you thirsty~? (Pt. 2) Even though there's a HUGE waterfall next to you. LOL

I admit I'm also guilty of some troll moments...
I saw an opportunity and I had to take it *shrugs*
The stares that I got while taking this photo...。゚(゚^∀^゚)゚。LOL

You can literally spend the whole day taking photos at the Trick Eye Museum.
At one section, you can take almost 5++ types of photos and since there's now 6 different themed zones, get your extra battery prepared because it's gonna be a long day!!

This was my personal favorite in the whole museum...
My ride back!!
This is also another example of the new addition in the museum!
I've been to the Trick Eye Museum before the revamp and I can tell you that you'll enjoy the revamped area!! There's more things to do, sections including multimedia (it's SUPER hilarious) and it's great for couple/group photos!!

I you're coming as a couple or with a bestie, I also recommend bringing a tripod!
I feel bad asking for people to take a photo since they're also busy taking their own pics and don't want to disturb them.
If not you can go on a double date or go with a smaller group of friends so you can help take pics for each other! Thankies Kelvin for helping take this shot! Can't you tell how happy my kareshi is taking a photo with me? lol

It's also a great way to bond with people!
Although this photo doesn't really back up what I just said, it's a great way to spend quality time with the people you love and care about. I saw a few bloggers bringing their mama along and I kinda wished my mama was up for these kinda things too so that we can take pics together!
Still happy that I got to spend time with Bayu and Kelvin tho!!

Let's end the day with a....

A huge thank you to the The Influencer Network for the invitation and for an awesome night!

xoxo,
It's December y'all!!! My favorite month in the entire year!!
Or as the song goes on the Ellen DeGeneres Show,
'It's the most~ WONDERFUL time~ of the year~♪'
It's all about giving/receiving pressies and for me, I enjoy my Christmas Showdown that I have with my bestie every year!

When it comes to buying gifts for friends, family, workmates, and yourself - it can be tiring and time-consuming because EVERYONE ELSE is buying things at the malls!!

I hate large crowds and I prioritize personal space than a discount, but at Althea you can enjoy your personal space, great discounts, and many more benefits!!!

Did you know?
Althea is a flower and it's the national flower of Korea!
The flower language if Althea is consumed by love, healing, and attracts good spirits.

IT'S HERE!!!
When I was about to open up the box, I remembered when I was still a kid my parents would NEVER let me open ANY of my gifts until Christmas day.
Imagine how painful it was to see all them pressies under the tree 1~2weeks before Christmas and all I could do is stare n' shake the gifts to guess what it could be.

I'm now an ADULT *cough* so I get to open ma gifts whenever I want!
When I opened the box, each of the products were bubble wrapped with love! They even placed pink wrapping paper as fillers so that the products wont shake and jump around!
You can tell how much effort and care they put in packing each box!!

Oh yes, how could I forget! THE BOX!!
How pretty is this limited edition Christmas box? They come in two colors - green and red.
The box is super sturdy and it's so pretty that you can use it as a storage box!

Wanna see what I got? Lemme share it with y'all! (*´è‰¸`*)♡
PETITFEE's Gold & EGF Eye & Spot Patch

Heard a lot of reviews about this product so I decided to try it out!
The shape of the eye patch doesn't really fit my under eye area but if feels great!!!
I'm a huge fan of the gel masks and my eye area feels super moisturized and supple after using it.
I thought the spot patch was a pretty good idea too since we all have those pesky dark spots/acne marks or wrinkle zones that you wanna target but lazy to apply a full face mask.

I also like how it's gold and shimmery, sho pretty!!!

paralapiel's Magic Color Change Mask ( Horse Oil)
I've tried all types of masks before but I've never heard or seen a color changing mask!!
The color changes because of the change in temperature and it sounds like something fun to do during a sleepover!!

Horse Oil has been popular in Japan for a while but it seems like it's starting to gain popularity outside of Japan too!! It hydrates and moisturizes the skin because the horse oil is similar to our natural sebum that it penetrates deep into our skin! It improves your complexion by leaving your skin soft, hydrated, and glowing!

the SAEM Gem Miracle Black Pearl O2 Whitening Toner

Whenever we apply our skincare, there are times that it only reaches the first or second layer of our skin. The most important layer of our skin is the third layer because it's the foundation of our skin and this toner is able to treat all 3 layers with the deep hydrating oxygen (O2) care!!!
It's also rich in Papaya Extract, which exfoliates the dead skin on the first layer so that  you're skin is ready to absorb all the goodness from the serum and moisturizer!

Banila Co's The Kissest Plumping Tinted Stick

I've heard of plumping lip glosses but this is the first time I seen a tinted lip balm with plumping benefits! I'm a huge fan of banila co. and went CRAZY when I went to Korea with my Japanese classmates for our grad trip.

Unfortunately banila co. isn't in any retail stores in Singapore but it's available at the airport & Althea!

The color I got is #01 Love and it looks very natural when you apply it on your lips!
The texture is very smooth and creamy! As for the plumping effect, it's quite visible (not until I look like I got a bee sting) and it's not painful! It feels more like a minty feeling.

CHICA Y CHICO'S Beta-Salic 2.0

This is another product I've seen a lot of reviews online of how this is like a MIRACLE, MUST-HAVE, BUY AGAIN, and I LOVE THIS product. It includes Betaine Salicylate and it's great for clearing blackheads, acne skin, open pores, and dry skin. It sounds like a 'too good to be true' product to be honest but at the same time I'm super excited to try it out! Some reviews said it'll take time till you see the results and that actually persuaded me to buy it since (depending on the product) I'm scared of products that give you IMMEDIATE results.

It's Skin's Power 10 Formula PO Effector

This is my second time getting the Power 10 serum! Previously I got the YE Effector (Yeast Extract) which was for anti-aging. This time I got the PO Effector (Shrinks Pores) because I hate how my pores are so visible like the moon LOL. It includes Houttuynia Cordata extract that targets large pores and shrinks them for smoother skin.
The serum is very light (even though it looks thick) and doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky.

So that concludes my haul and mini review of the products I've tried so far from Althea!!
I'm so happy with my purchases and I'll definitely buy more things really soon!

So besides the wide range of brands and products they have, there's a lot of promotions and deals happening on Althea that you shouldn't miss out on!!!

#1 CHRISTMAS COUPON & BOX
Get the same pretty box I got when you shop at Althea but hurry!!
There's only limited quantities available!!
They also have the coupon XMAS-SG where you get SGD$7 OFF purchase above SGD$50!
AND THAT'S NOT ALL!! Get free shipping for purchases above SGD$30!!!!

#2 CHRISTMAS COLLECTION
Check out the pretty Holiday collections from popular Korean brands!
Hurry before they're sold out!

#3 FLY ME TO KOREA LUCKY DRAW
I think this will excite everyone the most (I AM!!!)
Shop at Althea and you'll have a chance to win a trip to Seoul, Korea!!!!!

#4 Althea x W Lab Collaboration (GET A FREE GIFT)
You'll win either a palette or eyeliner from shopping.
Um, need I say more?

I'm sorry but if this isn't enough to explain how great Althea is... I'll just throw in the towel.
I'm a fan of Korean cosmetics/skincare and I know some of these brands are also available on Qoo10 but I'm always scared to buy from there because I question if it's 'authentic'.
Buying from a trusted place is really important because we're talking about your FACE!
I don't really shop online because I prefer to look at the product and use a tester before making a purchase. However, the Althea website was very easy to navigate, included reviews and information about the product, the packaging was amazing, shipping was very fast, my purchases were in great condition, and the products were authentic at a very low price!!
Thank you Althea!!!
