SPICY THAI CAFE REVIEW

Hey y'all!
Having cravings for Thai food but with a twist?
Spicy Thai Cafe is a place you must check out!

The Spicy Thai Cafe started by Ron 3 years ago. He loved going to Thailand and wanted to bring back the Northeastern flavors home to Singapore! The Isan style food is spicier and a bit saltier compared to the Bangkok style food. The reason why the flavoring is like this is because they neeed to fill their tummy quickly! #foodhack

The restaurant also has Mookata - which is located outside because it uses charcoal.
They also serve beer here so they've included a western fusion tidbits to compliment a bottle of beer.

Claypot Coconut Tom Yum Soup $18

This soup includes coconut flesh and it's packed with strong flavors with a creamy coconut milk blend. It's kind of a tom yum prawn bisque soup!

Deep Fried Kang Kong $10

This fried kang kong will go great with a drink (alcohol) and suitable for people who don't like veggies! It's crispy and light so once you start, you can't stop!!!

Cha Om (Thai Dill Omelette) $10

The dill is super fresh and the egg is super fluffy. This dish, compared to the other dishes had a lighter flavor - so it's a great dish to compliment the meal!

Northeastern Thai Style Mango Salad with Fermented Fish & Crab $10

Here's the fermented crab! This dish was probably the saltiest dish out of the meal but I LOVED IT!
I'm a huge fan of mango salad so it was super interesting to try a new type.
The Isan farmers will eat this with glutinous rice but white rice is just as nice :)

Hommok (Thai Style Otak) $18

This is slightly different from the regular otak because it's not like a fishcake.
The flavor is super smooth with a good balance of spicy.
Not to mention...THERE'S SO MUCH SEAFOOD!! CHUNKS OF SEAFOOD!!!
In love!

Thai Walking Catfish with Spicy Lemon Soup $35

Check out the charcoal keeping the fish warm!

I fell in LOVE with catfish because the meat was oh SO tender!
Bass can get tough after being heated up for a while but catfish...nope!
The flavor was also sour/spicy and super addictive! The sauce comes IN A BOWL so you can keep pouring it over the catfish!

BBQ Pork Belly $18

This BBQ Pork Belly doesn't have any artificial coloring - which makes it look more natural and appetizing (personally). It also has a delicious, crispy charcoal flavor!
The sauce on the side gives it a super great kick too!

Jade Noodles $12

This is a new item on their menu and...I'M SO GLAD WE GOT TO TRY IT OUT!
This is like a pasta-style fried noodle!
The flavor is super on point with the garlic - it's like an Asian aglio oglio.

Lala (Clams) Bee Hoon $18

This bee hoon included my FAVORITE corriander and everyone liked this dish too!
It has a white pepper flavor and the soupy sauce was the right amount of saltiness.

Don't forget to enjoy your meal with a Steamed White Rice $1!

DRINKS
Lemongrass Jelly with Aloe Vera Cubes & Calamansi $3
Tapioca in Coconut Milk $4
Ice Milo $2.20
Ice Thai Milk Tea $2.50
Ice Organic Wheatgrass $4

DESSERT
Sticky Rice with Mango $8

Red Ruby $4
